Mahjong 101 | American Mahjong Fundamentals

Perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a refresher on the basics.

Learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong in a relaxed, welcoming setting. We'll walk you through the game step by step, including:

• Tile recognition and terminology
• How to set up the game
• How to read and understand the National Mah Jongg League card
• Charleston and gameplay
• Basic rules and strategies
• Guided practice

No experience necessary. You'll leave with a solid foundation and an understanding of how to play the game.

Mahjong 102 | Building Your Skills

For players who have completed Mahjong 101 or already understand the fundamentals.

Now that you know the basics, it's time to put them into practice. Mahjong 102 focuses on strengthening your skills through coached gameplay and introducing more strategy.

You'll work on:

• Choosing and developing hands
• Reading the card more efficiently
• Making decisions during the Charleston
• Building strategy and confidence
• Guided gameplay with instructor support

You know how to play—now you're ready to become a more confident player.

Mahjong 103 | Play with a Purpose 💜 Review, Reinforcement & Guided Play

For players who understand the game but want more practice before playing completely on their own.

Mahjong 103 is all about putting everything together. We'll review key concepts, reinforce what you've learned, and spend more time playing with an instructor available to guide you along the way.

You'll enjoy:

• A review of important rules and concepts
• Reinforcement of hand selection and strategy
• Help working through challenging decisions
• Tips for improving speed and confidence
• Guided play with real-time coaching
• Plenty of time to ask questions and play

And this class has an extra-special purpose.

The lesson fee for Mahjong 103 will be donated to Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, helping support local individuals and families impacted by cancer.
